Arrival / Departure

Strongly recommended: Arrival and return by public transport

We strongly recommend arriving early by public transport. Arriving by car will cause increased traffic, which may lead to a late arrival for the start of the concerts. Further details on arrival / return below.

The event site is located on the Bernexpo Areal, opposite the Wankdorf stadium, directly next to the Bern Allmend and can be easily reached by foot from Bern Wankdorf train station (10min) and the Guisanplatz tram stop (5min).

From Bern train station you can reach us by tram, bus or S-Bahn in a few minutes as follows:

  • Tram no. 9 to the stop «Guisanplatz», then 5min by foot.
  • S-Bahn (S1, S2, S3, S4, S31 or S44) to «Bern Wankdorf», then 10min by foot.
  • Bus number 20 to «Wankdorf Bahnhof» stop, then 10min by foot.

For the return journey, SBB will use various extra trains and will reinforce numerous regular trains. All further information on how to get to the event by public transport.

For all local visitors, there are plenty of bicycle stands at Wankdorf station, on Sempachstrasse, Papiermühlestrasse and on the side of the Wankdorf stadium. These are open to the public and are not guarded.

Admission

A valid concert ticket purchased at the official Ticketcorner points of sale is required for admission.

Please note: do not throw away your ticket after admission and continue to carry it with you. There may be further checks at the venue, especially at the Tribune seats.

One way / Re-entry

The concert tickets are ONE WAY. The ticket will be validated on site entry and is not valid for re-entry.

Cashless

The site is cashless, no cash payments will be accepted.

Payments can be made with all major debit and credit cards, PostFinance, TWINT and Apple Pay.

Opening hours area / bars

The area opens at 16h00 and closes after the show at 23h30 latest.

Ticket office / ticketing information desk

Opening hours (only on the day of the show) are 14h00 to 21h00. Tickets are available at the box office depending on the sales status.

The cash desks are cashless, accepted means of payment: all common debit and credit cards, PostFinance, TWINT and Apple Pay.

Gastronomy

A wide range of drinks and food is available from the moment the doors open. From vegan to meat, from Älplermagronen, Schnitzel, Burger, Pulled Pork Sandwiches to Pasta, Pinsa, Thai Curries, Momos, Poké Bowl to Crêpes, Apfelstrudel and Glacé.

The food stalls are located in the upper area of the event site, as well as a reduced range in the standing area. The drinks bars can be found throughout the grounds.

There will also be free water stations.

It is not permitted to bring any drinks and food.

Children and young people under the age of 16 are not permitted to consume alcohol. For young people under the age of 18, the consumption of spirits or drinks with spirits (mixed drinks) is also prohibited by law. Bar staff are instructed to carry out strict checks and to check IDs.

Deposit

A deposit of CHF 2.- will be charged on all beverage cups. This will be credited cashless at all bars when the cups are returned.

Weather

The concert will take place in sunshine as well as in rainy weather. Please bring your personal protective clothing (cap, sunscreen, rain jacket, rain poncho).

In the unlikely event of an evacuation due to severe weather, listen to the loudspeaker announcements, instructions from security staff and proceed to the nearest emergency exit.

Limited mobility

There is a limited number of free IV parking spaces available directly in front of the site, which must be reserved in advance via info@gadget.ch. The parking space is only definitely reserved with a confirmation from the organiser. Please bring the documents according to the confirmation email.

The separate wheelchair entrance is located in the immediate vicinity (see site plan). The wheelchair places on the Tribune are accessible via a ramp.

Wheelchair users and otherwise impaired persons who have booked a normal standing or seating ticket are not permitted access to the wheelchair platform.

Security / Prohibited items

  • Cameras, audio or video recorders (only small digital cameras that fit in a trouser pocket)
  • GoPros, tablet PCs, selfie sticks
  • Umbrellas, flagpoles, political banners
  • Bottles, cans, tetrapacks of any size
  • Food
  • Suitcases, bags larger than A4 format
  • Fireworks / flares, laser pointers, gas horns
  • Weapons, knives, sprays
  • Rivet belts, chains, chains on wallets
  • Sports equipment, inline skates, roller skates, skateboards, prams, bicycles
  • Protective equipment, bicycle / motorbike helmets
  • Camping chairs / folding chairs / general camping utensils
  • Animals

List is not exhaustive and can be adapted.

Lost & Found

Lost & found items can be handed in at the luggage drop-off «yellow».

If there are items after the concert which are not collected, they will be deposited at the Bernexpo reception and can be collected there during opening hours (Mon-Fri 8h00 -12h00 / 13h30-17h00) until 19/07/2023.

Valuables will then be handed over to the lost property office in Bern. All other items may not be handed over to the lost property office and will be disposed of after 7 days.

Lockers

A limited number of lockers are available at the Bern Areal (see map for exact locations). Cost: CHF 5 (only cash). Box offices do not have change.

If you arrive by public transport, we recommend using the lockers at Bern railway station.

Rubbish / waste disposal

Treat the area with respect and dispose of rubbish in the disposal points provided.

Admission from 16 years or accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of six are not admitted.
