Leider muss Shawn Mendes aus gesundheitlichen Gründen seine komplette Tour absagen. Davon betroffen ist auch das Schweizer Konzert vom 27.6.2023 im Hallenstadion Zürich. Alle Tickets werden zurückerstattet. Hier das Statement des Künstlers:
«As you guys know, I had to postpone the past few weeks of shows since I wasn’t totally prepared for the toll that being back on the road would take on me. I started this tour excited to finally get back to playing live after a long break due to the pandemic, but the reality is I was not at all ready for how difficult touring would be after this time away. After speaking more with my team and working with an incredible group of health professionals, it has become more clear that I need to take the time I’ve never taken personally, to ground myself and come back stronger. I unfortunately have to cancel the rest of the tour dates in North America, and the UK / Europe. We were hopeful that I might be able to pick up with the rest of the dates after some much needed time off, but at this time I have to put my health as my first priority. This doesn’t mean I won’t be making new music, and I can’t wait to see you on tour in the future. I know you all have been waiting so long to see these shows, and it breaks my heart to tell you this but I promise I will be back as soon as I’ve taken the right time to heal.

Der GRAMMY-nominierte, mehrfach mit Platin ausgezeichnete Singer/Songwriter Shawn Mendes kündigt für 2022 seine «Wonder: The World Tour» an und spielt 64 Arenashows in Nordamerika, Grossbritannien und Europa. Die Ankündigung der Tournee folgt auf Shawns jüngstes Album «Wonder» (VÖ 04.12.2020), das auf Platz 1 der Billboard Top 200 einstieg und Mendes zum drittjüngsten Solokünstler machte, der im Alter von 22 bereits vier Nummer-1-Alben vorweisen konnte. Als Special Guest für die Tourdaten in Grossbritannien und Europa ist King Princess bestätigt.
Der kanadische, GRAMMY-nominierte Singer/Songwriter Shawn Mendes veröffentlichte 2020 sein mit Spannung erwartetes viertes Studioalbum «Wonder» und stieg damit direkt auf Platz 1 der Billboard 200 Charts ein. Das jüngste Album markierte Shawns viertes #1 Album in Folge. Bereits sein selbstbetiteltes Platin-Album brach 2018 alle Rekorde und wurde mit zwei GRAMMY® Awards nominiert: «Song of the Year» für «In My Blood» und «Best Pop Vocal Album» für «SHAWN MENDES». Im selben Jahr stieg Mendes mit seiner Single «If I Can’t Have You» auf Platz 1 bei iTunes und Platz 2 der Billboard Hot 100 Charts ein. Mit «Señorita» auf Platz 1 und «If I Can’t Have You» auf Platz 2 war Mendes der erste männliche Solokünstler, der gleichzeitig Platz 1 und Platz 2 der Top 40 Charts hielt. 2019 wurde Shawn Mendes schliesslich auch für einen GRAMMY in der Kategorie «Best Pop Duo/Group Performance» für «Señorita», seine Single mit der Künstlerin Camila Cabello, nominiert.
